The Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School music department

We’re delighted to run our Saturday Sounds Music School within the excellent music department at Cardinal Vaughan. The state-of-the-art facilities available to our students, including dedicated rehearsal spaces and high-quality instruments, greatly enhance the overall experience. There is plenty of room in this inspirational setting for creative activities, group work, and musical fun, helping to make the morning both productive and enjoyable!

The main rehearsal room offers a professional performance space, ideal for ensemble work, student showcases, and larger group activities. At the heart of the room is a superb Steinway Model B grand piano, renowned for its rich tone and exceptional quality, providing students with an inspiring instrument to accompany their learning and performances. In addition, the room is equipped with a high-quality Yamaha U3 upright piano, an electric harpsichord, and a full drum kit, allowing for a wide range of musical styles and collaborative opportunities.

Music classrooms

The music classrooms are fully equipped to support high-quality group learning. Each room features a grand piano for demonstrations and performance, individual keyboards on every desk to enable hands-on participation during lessons, and a large screen for presentations.
